Nick was married to Rita and is survived by 3 children, their spouses, and his grandchildren: Stacy Harris, husband Geoff, and their children Hunter and Mara; George Andrew, wife Karen, and children Kendra and Ariel; and John Andrew.
Nick was in the supermarket business and eventually owned Hickory Creek Supermarket that was well managed by Tom Welsh. Hickory Creek was started and grown by his wife Rita Aggelopoulos, her parents, and her siblings.
Nick is first generation American from parents John and Anastasia Andrew who immigrated from Greece with their eldest son Mike.
Nick J. Andrew was the epitome of The American Dream. Today, he won’t wake up on the right side of the grass, but he “is fine.”
Funeral services for Nick J. Andrew will be held Monday, April 30, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Roads, Joliet. Interment will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park II.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name to Joliet Area Community Hospice would be appreciated.
Visitation will be held MONDAY MORNING, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
