Margie A. Foster, age 80, of Morris, passed away on Wednesday, May 23, 2018, at Park Point Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Morris.  Margie was born in Fairfield, IL, the daughter of the late Howard and Hazel (nee Crews) Messer, and resided in Morris the past 45 years.  She graduated from Normal Community High School and retired doing secretarial work for Cardinal Transport in Channahon.  Margie was formerly employed by State Farm Insurance Company and Alumax Mill Products, Morris.  She was a very active Member of First Baptist Church of Morris and loved to quilt as well as attending her grandchildren’s sporting events.

Surviving are her four children, Mark Foster of Rockford, Dorsey (Lorie) Foster of Ottawa, Jennifer (Thomas) Brady of Morris and Julie (Lance) Peterson of Morris; her eight grandchildren, Heather, Mitchell, Meredith and Lauren Foster, Jacob and Samuel Brady, Maria and Eric Peterson; numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

She was preceded by her parents; her sister, Margaret (Paul) Peterson; and her brother, Dale (Sheryl) Messer.

A Memorial Service for Margie A. Foster will be held on Tuesday, May 29, 2018, at 11:00 a.m., at First Baptist Church, 1650 W. Route 6, Morris.  The family will receive all relatives and friends at the church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.  In lieu of flowers, memorials to First Baptist Church or Cardinal Bernardin Cancer Center, 2160 S. 1st Ave., Maywood, IL 60153, would be appreciated.  Funeral services under the direction of Fred C.
