William George Brandon
“Bill”
Age 68, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 31, 2018, at Presence St. Joseph Medical Center, surrounded by his children. William was born on February 4, 1950, in Joliet, IL, to Howard and Margaret (nee Wason) Brandon. He retired from the Herald Newspaper in 2011, as a graphic artist, with over 30 years of service. William was an amazing artist, avid reader and an avid Chicago White Sox fan. He was a devoted father and grandfather, cherishing the time he spent with his grandkids, nieces and nephews.
William is survived by his children, Stacy (fiancé Charles James) Brandon and Casey Brandon; three grandchildren, David, Charlie and Ana; the mother of his children, Nancy (Jesse) Flores; and his siblings, Howard (Kitty) Brandon and Janice Moody. Many nieces and nephews also survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Barbara Walters; and brother-in-law, Danny Walters.
A Memorial Gathering for William George Brandon will be held on Thursday, June 7, 2018, from 5:30 p.m. until time of Memorial Service at 6:30 p.m., at Families of Faith Church, 24466 W. Eames, Channahon, IL 60410 with Pastor Joe Pospischil officiating. Cremation rites have been accorded. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family would be appreciated.
