Obituary of Marilyn K. Schumacher

Marilyn K. Schumacher passed away at the age of 76 on July 3, 2018.  Marilyn slipped away from this life at Presence St. Joseph Medical Center to the next.  She was born in Kewanee, Illinois and a long time Joliet, Shorewood, and Romeoville area resident.  Marilyn retired from the Illinois State Police as a Finger Print Technician after over 25 years of service.  She loved spending time with family and friends.  In addition, she loved ceramics and stitchery. 

She was preceded by her parents, William and Theresa (nee Fortman) Peterson.

Marilyn is survived by her son, Todd (fiancée Trudie Musich) Schumacher of Gilbertsville, KY; daughter, Lisa (Richard) Horwath, of Joliet; three grandchildren, Heather (Aaron) Webb, Tara (Frank Sanders) Schumacher, and Jacob (Jessica VanEarwage) Ridge; and two great grandchildren, Ayven and Gabriel Ridge. 

Funeral Services for Marilyn Schumacher will be on Sunday, July 8, 2018, at 4:00 p.m., at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Rds., Joliet, IL.  As it was Marilyn’s request, cremation rites have been accorded.
