Obituary of Givon Wesley Jasper
Givon Wesley Jasper passed away suddenly on July 3, 2018 at the age of 21. He was born in Tucson, Arizona on February 26, 1997 to Tom A. Jasper and the late Tonya D. Craighead. Givon was a lifelong Joliet area resident who graduated from St. Paul the Apostle Grade School, Joliet Central High School, Class of 2015, and Ohio Technical College in Cleveland, Class of 2017. He was currently employed as a mechanic with Fed Ex Freight in Joliet. Being a mechanic was a passion that he thoroughly enjoyed doing both at work and in his free time. When he wasn’t working on cars and motorcycles at home, he was enjoying spending time with family and friends. He was also a music lover and loved to play the guitar.
Givon is survived by his father, Tom A. (Jenny) Jasper; siblings, Madison, Spencer, and Stella Jasper; and his grandparents, Glen and Carol Huston, Tom and Fran Jasper, and Linda (the late Wesley) Craighead. He is also survived by his aunts and uncles, Heather (Tim) Qualls, Matthew (Michelle) Jasper, and Mandy (Brian) Rygwalski. He was loved by many friends, especially Brianna and Donovan Petrovic.
Funeral Services for Givon Wesley Jasper will be at 9:15 a.m. on Monday, July 9, 2018 from the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Rds., Joliet to Cathedral of St. Raymond Nonnatus, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
