Obituary of Dennis L. Alberico
Dennis L. Alberico, age 66, of Joliet, passed away suddenly, Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at his home, in his chair, with his beloved wife by his side.
Born December 19, 1951 in Joliet, he was a graduate of the former Lockport West High School, Class of 1970. He worked as a carpenter for many years, and later as a millwright for Carpenters Local #174.
Dennis was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. He was a longstanding member of the Joliet R. C. Club, and loved flying model airplanes. He was also a Partner In Hope for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Surviving are his loving wife of 46 years, Mary Lou (nee Bonham) Alberico of Joliet; his one and only “Sugar Butt” daughter, Amanda Marie and son-in-law, Scott Miller of Lockport; his two special gifts from God, granddaughter, Jessica Miller, and grandson, Jacob Miller; and many relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred J. and Victoria K. (nee Kostyra) Alberico; and his wife’s parents, Roscoe and Dorothy Bonham.
Visitation will be held Monday, July 9, 2018 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Roads, Joliet. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
