Donna Anne Nemanich
(nee Puetz)

Age 77, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 1, 2018, at Meadowbrook Manor, Bolingbrook, IL.  Born October 7, 1940, in Joliet, IL, she was the daughter of the late Arthur A. and Anne C. (nee Scheri) Puetz.  Donna, a St. Francis Academy Class of 1958 graduate, began her career as a Registered Nurse; she then continued her education at Lewis University, graduating with honors in Elementary Education, in 1983.  Being an Elementary School Teacher was her passion.  Donna enjoyed traveling throughout Europe, playing canasta, and was an avid reader.  She was an animal lover (especially dogs!) and a very kind hearted person that will truly be missed by her family, friends and her faithful canine companion, Buddy.

Donna is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Frank J. Nemanich; four children, Anne C. Nemanich, Michael F. Nemanich, Karen M. (Jeffrey) Hutson and Leah C. Nemanich; two grandchildren, Ryan T. Softcheck and Kaitlyn F. Hutson; and her canine companion, Buddy.

She was preceded by her parents and brothers, William Puetz and Wayne Puetz.

Family and friends of Donna Anne Nemanich may gather on Monday, August 6, 2018, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 416 N. Chicago St., Joliet, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m.  Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name to Compassionate Care Hospice or for Masses would be appreciated.  Arrangements entrusted to the Fred C.
