Obituary of Jeffery "Jeff" A. Paulson

Jeffery Allen Paulson, age 47 died Wednesday, August 1, 2018. Born on May 17, 1971 in Morris, IL to Lynn and Sharon (nee Gross) Paulson. Jeff was a US Navy Veteran, serving in the Persian Gulf in 1991-1992, a former law enforcement officer, and a former Alderman for the City of Morris. He attended Morris public schools, graduating from Morris High School in 1989. He was a member of the American Legion Post 294 in Morris.

He received the most joy in his life from the time he spent with his two loving children, Finn and Bergen.

He is survived by the lights of his life, his children, Finn and Bergen Paulson; father, Lynn Paulson; sisters, Lynn Butterfield, Nene (Steve) Swartz, Joan (Dan) Carpenter and Julie (Dave) Erickson; and a large number of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Sharon Paulson in 2016.

A memorial gathering  for Jeffery A. Paulson will be held Tuesday, August 7, 2018 from 4-7 p.m. at Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 1201 W. Route 6 at Deerpath Drive, Morris. Jeff’s remains will be cremated in accordance with his wishes. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Paulson Children Education Fund, 513 E.
