David R. Burd, Jr.

Age 69, passed away Thursday, September 13, 2018 peacefully at  Saratoga Towers in Morris.

Born in Joliet, and a resident of Coral Gables, FL for 40 years before relocating to Morris in 2010.  A graduate of Joliet West High School, Class of 1967.  Retired as an auditor for a hotel in Florida.  David's passion was growing and raising orchids.

Preceded by his father, David R. Burd, Sr. (2005).

Survived by his loving mother, Roberta M. (nee Hann) Burd of Joliet; one sister, Pamela (Scott) Breuning of Morris; one niece, Elizabeth (Scott) Ruttencutter of Sun Prairie, WI; one nephew, Jeffrey (Jennifer) Breuning of Normal, IL; one great-niece; and great-nephews.

As it was David's request cremation rites have been accorded.  A Memorial Service  will be held on Sunday September 23, 2018 at First Presbyterian Church, 200 E. Jackson Street, Morris, IL 60450 where all friends and relatives can gather from 2:00 p.m. until the service begins at 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorials in David's name to First Presbyterian Church would be appreciated.
