Thomas W. Dwyer
Age 78. At rest Monday, August 22, 2011 at Provena Saint Joseph Medical Center. Born in Joliet to the late James and Helen (Karinka) Dwyer, he had resided in Channahon since 1962. A U.S. Army veteran, serving in Germany for one and a half years. A retired truck driver for Argonne National Laboratory. Life member of the NRA, he was an avid collector of miniature cars.
Surviving are his loving wife of 56 years, Gloria (Peters) Dwyer of Channahon; his sister, Dolores (late Robert L.) Butler of Verona, IL; brother-in-law of Marcella (late Francis Heenan) Pershey of Joliet and Nick (Marylou) Peters of Wilmington.
Preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, James D. Dwyer.
Funeral Services for Thomas W. Dwyer will be today, Wednesday, August 24, 2011 at 12:00 noon at the funeral home chapel. Interment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name to the charity of donor's choice would be appreciated. Visitation today, Wednesday 10:00 a.m. until time of services at:
