Ted Robert Hutten
Age 53, of Joliet, IL and formerly Oswego, IL, passed away on Sunday, October 28, 2018, at Presence St. Joseph Medical Center. He was born March 5, 1965, the son of Donald and Ancy (nee Confer) Hutten, in Joliet, where he was raised and educated. Ted graduated with the Class of 1983 from Joliet West High School and received a Bachelor’s Degree from Lewis University.
Ted is survived by his sons, Zachary and Trent Hutten; his parents, Don and Ancy; siblings, Tom (Cathy) Hutten, Terri (Micah) Rapaz, Toni (Mike) Dulny and Brian (Heather) Hutten; sister-in-law, Rose; nieces and nephews, Annie, Adam, Andrew, Kyle, Stephanie and Jennifer; three aunts, Mary Heinrich, Joyce Hutten and Therese Confer; as well as several cousins.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Tim, and his aunts and uncles.
Ted was a baseball enthusiast; a talented player when he was younger and a coach and mentor to young ballplayers as an adult. He was also a die-hard Chicago White Sox fan.
Visitation for Ted will be held Saturday, November 3, 2018, from 2:00 until 5:00 p.m., at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Rds. in Joliet. A prayer service will conclude the evening at 5:00 p.m. As it was Ted’s request, cremation rites will be accorded following the services.
