Obituary of George Eichenseer JR

George M. Eichenseer, Jr. Age 73. Passed away Monday, September 10, 2012 surrounded by his loving family. George was born in Nebraska and was raised in Iowa. He graduated from DeVry Technical Institute and moved to Joliet in 1961. He retired in 2000 from Milano Bakery after many years as a Route Salesman. George's greatest joys in life were spoiling his grandchildren and playing golf. He enjoyed walking and riding his bike. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 43 years, Patricia D. (nee Satterfield) Eichenseer (June 21, 2003); his parents, George and Dolores (nee Biernbaum) Eichenseer; and one grandson, Joshua. Survived by his four children, Cindy (Steve) Parini of Joliet, Cathy (Dave) Comer of Shorewood, Steve "Ike" Eichenseer of Joliet, and Linda Smith, of Joliet; six grandchildren, Jason Parini; Nicole Comer, Stephanie Comer, Jon Eichenseer, 1st. Lt. Greg Smith and Brandon Smith; four sisters, Sr. Mary Anne Eichenseer, OSF, Joan (Bob) Humpal, Jan (Ron) Grousky, and Nancy (Don) Wilhelmi; one brother, Tom (Ruth) Eichenseer; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. The family wishes to thank George's faithful caregivers. Funeral services for George Eichenseer will be Thursday, September 13, 2012 at 9:15 a.m. from the funeral home to the Cathedral of St. Raymond Nonnatus for Mass at 10:00 a.m. Interment Woodlawn Memorial Park.
