Obituary of Virginia Eich

Virginia M. Eich (nee Cryer) Age 83, of Joliet, passed away Thursday, February 4, 2010 at Provena St. Joseph Medical Center. Born April 27, 1926 in Minooka, to Herman R. and Mildred B. (nee Walker) Cryer, she was a graduate of Joliet Central High School and a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. A homemaker, she loved music and sang for many club functions. Member of Joliet Rivals Ladies Auxiliary and the Women of the Moose, Lodge #300. Surviving are her daughter, Virginia L. (Bruce) Nelson of Plainfield; one grandson, Stephen J. Walsh of Joliet; one brother, Howard D. (Doris) Cryer of Joliet; two sisters-in-law, Alyce Eich and Bernadine Cryer; and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her beloved husband, Hubert S. Eich (1995); one daughter, Cheryl J. Gilchrist (2007); one sister, Elberta Taylor; and three brothers, John, William and Robert Cryer. Funeral Services for Virginia M. Eich will be Tuesday, February 9, 2010 at 9:15 a.m. from the funeral home chapel to St. John the Baptist Catholic Church for Mass at 10:00 a.m. Interment Woodlawn Memorial Park.
