Andre De Benedetti
Age 83, of Joliet, passed away Wednesday, December 26, 2018, at his late residence. Born on December 12, 1935, he was the son of the late Joseph and Eleanor (nee Govoni) De Benedetti. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army serving his country in the Vietnam War. Andre was a supervisor with Weyerhaeuser, retiring with over 40 years of dedicated service. A car enthusiast, he was a proud owner of a classic Thunderbird.
Andre is survived by his daughter, Gloria (Phil) Sieger; son, Patrick (Mary) De Benedetti; sisters, Joanne (Rich) Egdorf and Gloria (Ed) Metrick; seven grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and one great-great grandbaby.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Raymond De Benedetti; sisters, Louise Kubinski and Lucille Kellner; and his son, Michael A. De Benedetti.
Visitation for Andre De Benedetti will be held on Monday, December 31, 2018, from 10:00 a.m. until time of Funeral Service at 1:00 p.m., at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Rds., Joliet. Interment will follow at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery where Military Honors will be conducted under the auspices of the U.S. Army and the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery Memorial Squad.
