Obituary of Pvt. Dustin J. Strawmyer
Pvt. Dustin J. Strawmyer, age 18, of Morris, IL, passed away suddenly Friday, January 4, 2019, at Morris Hospital. He was born in Bremerton, WA, and was a lifelong resident of Morris. A graduate of Morris High School Class of 2018, Dustin is currently serving his country in the U.S. Army at Fort Sam Houston, San Antonio, TX.
Dustin is survived by his parents, Josette “Jo” Strawmyer (Devlin) Burton and Samuel “Zeb” Strawmyer; his sister, Kaylani Permann; brother, Alex Strawmyer; paternal grandmother, Nancy Strawmyer; maternal grandmother, Lourdes Chamberlain; and his aunts and uncles, Joshua “Adam” (Christaly) Strawmyer, Laurence (Jeshawn) Reyes, Francine (Johnny) Walker and Raymond Quitano.
He was preceded in death by his uncle, Benjermin Strawmyer.
A Memorial Gathering for Pvt. Dustin J. Strawmyer will be held Wednesday, January 9, 2019, from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at 1:00 p.m., at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 1201 W. Route 6 at Deerpath Drive, Morris. Inurnment will immediately follow at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery where full Military Honors will be accorded.
