Michael J. Kolin
Michael J. Kolin, of Washburn, formerly of Bolingbrook and Romeoville, passed away suddenly at the age of 63 on Friday, January 11, 2019, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. Michael was born on June 5, 1955, the son of Michael E. and Anne (nee Smithka) Colen. He attended Kelly High School in Chicago and was a truck driver for over ten years. Michael had a larger than life personality and considered his friends his family. He enjoyed fishing in the Upper Peninsula in his younger years, had a talent for fixing up cars and taking them to car shows, and loved nothing more than riding his Harley.
Michael is survived by his father, Michael E. Colen, and his brothers, Richard (Janet) and Frank Kolin. He is the loving uncle of Richie (Christina), Shawn (Mary), Brittany, Spencer, Chase, Saulo, Jaxson, Charisma, Seneca, Lexi and Kennadi and nephew of Audry Ryan. He is also survived by several cousins and friends.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Anne (nee Smithka) Colen.
Visitation for Michael J. Kolin will be held on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service at 7:00 p.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Rds., Joliet, IL. As it was his request, cremation will be accorded following the service.
