Obituary of Marion R. Burnett
Marion R. Burnett, age 92, late of Joliet, passed away peacefully, Monday, February 4, 2019 at Sunny Hill Nursing Home of Will County, with her devoted family by her side.
Born February 2, 1927 in Chicago, she was the daughter of James Michael and Mary Josephine (Pechota) Vodrazka.
Marion was a loving and caring mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be remembered for how much she sacrificed for her family.
Surviving are her six children, Diane (Greg) Aregood of Wolcott, IN, David (Cindy) Burnett of Joliet, Kenneth Burnett of Joliet, Phillip (Roseann) Burnett of Yorkville, Kathy Ison of Chesterfield, MI, Rosemarie (Ron) Moore of North Port, FL; 15 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one sister, Helen (the late Arthur) Polich of Bartlett; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one grandson, Jason Burnett; and one brother, James (Georgiana) Vodrazka.
Visitation for Marion R. Burnett will be held Friday, February 8, 2019 from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Roads, Joliet. Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 9, 2019 at 9:15 a.m. from the funeral home to the Church of St. Jude, 2212 McDonough Street, Joliet, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be in Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside.
