Obituary of Barbara Sue Sinkhorn-Murray
Barbara Sue Sinkhorn-Murray, age 80, of Morris,IL., passed away Tuesday June 11, 2019 at the home of her daughter in Braidwood, IL.
Born April 29, 1939 in Cave in Rock, IL to the late Elmer and Alma (Johnson) Doggett, she had resided in the Morris and Joliet, IL area for many years.
She was preceded in death by her first husband Charles E. Sinkhorn, Jr., second husband, Johnny Ray Murray; son Charles "Curt" Sinkhorn, her parents and three brothers.
Surviving are her daughters, Connie (Wayne) Carlson of Morris, Tammie (Doug) Hall and Patricia (Jay) Faletti, both of Braidwood, IL; devoted grandmother of Jennifer (Nathan) Tuider, Nathan (Lauren) Pfaff,Renee (Derek) Bills, Cori Carlson, Megan Carlson (fiance Cody Post); Amanda (Dale) Davidson, Matthew (Tricia) Hall; Lisha (Joe) Terrel, Kristen Faletti (fiance Kevin Whitehead) and Charles Faletti (fiancee Randi Beaudry); proud great-grandmother of 18. One sister Janet (Donald) Smith of Herrin, IL and several nieces and a nephew who remembers "Aunt Susie" fondly, also survive. She will also be missed by Sean (Amber) Belcher and family of Anna, IL and Kelly (Nick) Williams of Ft. Worth, TX and family whom she thought of as family.
A CNA, Barb spent most of her healthcare career at Provena St. Joseph Medical Center in Joliet, retiring after 27 years of compassionate care. Soon after retirement, she became a private duty nurse for Quality Home Health and Walnut Grove's Assisted Living Unit.
Barb enjoyed listening to music and taking leisurely walks, however her primary source of happiness came from spending the day with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
All friends and relatives are invited to gather at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home 1201 W. Route 6 at Deerpath Drive in Morris on Saturday June 15, 2019 from 4 p.m. until the Memorial Service begins at 6 p.m. Pastor Randy Blan will officiate.
