Thank you for all of the memories. For the music we shared as a family, the laughter, food, get togethers through the years..my growing up years. The most important memory was sharing in faith and worship..with testimony and sharing to all who God put in our lives. Thank you for sharing your gifts with others and especially with me as a niece. You are in me..a part of me..an inspiration to me and in much of who I am today..an educator, woman leader, counselor, a musician and minister...just by who I am in the simplest most humble way...by how we/I live. You were those things. I saw them first in you by how you lived. Thank you for the heritage, the seeds that were sewn into my life and for the ones I watched you plant in other's lives. I will forever miss you playing keyboards with my mother and for all of us singing as a family. Your legacy will live on. Love you so much. Uncle Bill...love you so much. There will never be another man like you.

So sad to hear of the passing of Diane Mitchell. Growing up she was my mom’s boss so I got to know her on that level. Then when I got in high school I went to her preschool on a field trip and I was offered a job to work at her daycare center. Miss Diane taught me what was good for children and I made so many memories working there. So much of my early childhood knowledge was developed working at the possibility place! When you work there or you were family! I’m sending hugs and prayers to her family, friends and the Joliet community!!!! She will be missed and forever loved!!!

Bill & the whole family I send my condolences. Heaven has another Angel. May the Lord help you to find peace during this difficult time. Sending you all prayers, love & hugs!

Granny,
It’s hard to put in words exactly how much we all will miss you.... I’ll remember the times we spent together and vacations we took with you and grandpa and the advice and life lessons you taught me. I’ll miss the times we had together just sitting and talking with each other. I will remember the happy times and great memories we had together. Love you and miss you grandma.

Sweet Diane, the years have flown by since I saw you last when I worked at the Possibility Place. How I enjoyed working there!
I send my deepest condolences to family and friends who must now learn to live without her. Diane’s school was an “ Opportunity Place” for me. She believed in me and
gave me the opportunity to do something I had never done before. I have seldom found anyone to be as soothing, kind, compassionate and caring as she was. I learned a lot about people and children in particular.
To her family I pray for peace & comfort in the days and months ahead.

Although I did not know Diane for long, I realized right away what an extraordinary lady she was. She was nurturing, caring, and just very very friendly.
She had faith like I’ve rarely seen.
I was astonished at Sherfy’s House as she sat at the piano and for hours entertained us with her talent and her love for Jesus.
She was a lovely person and will be missed by all.
