Obituary of Grant R. Justice

Grant R. Justice, age 79, of Channahon, passed away unexpectedly, Saturday, August 24, 2019 in the emergency room of Presence St. Joseph Medical Center.

Born December 2, 1939 in Pike County, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Monroe and Martha (nee Akers) Justice.  Grant was a proud veteran of the United States Army, serving from 1963 to 1965, and then with the Army Reserves until his honorable discharge in 1969, attaining the rank of a Fourth Grade Specialist.  Grant worked as a contractor in the construction industry until retirement.

Surviving are his beloved wife of 40 years, Carmella (nee Giunta) Justice; one daughter, Tiffany Justice; one son, Timothy Justice; three grandsons, Dakota Ray Justice, Harley Patrick Justice and Harley Cole Justice; three brothers, Henry Justice, Willie Justice and Buddy Justice; two sisters, Gladys Mitchell and his twin sister, Sissy Mae Looney; and two half sisters

He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister; and three brothers.

Committal Services and Entombment with full Military Honors for Grant Justice will be held Wednesday, September 11, 2019, at 11:30 a.m. at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, 20953 W. Hoff Road, Elwood, IL.  Family and friends are invited to meet at 10:20 a.m. at the funeral home chapel for a funeral procession being led by the Patriot Guard.  As it was Grant’s request, cremation rites have been accorded.  Fred C.
