Obituary of Stephanie Annis

Stephanie Annis (nee Leck) Age 81. At rest Saturday, February 6, 2010 at her late residence, with her family at her side. Born in Joliet and a lifelong resident. Graduate of St. Francis Academy Class of 1945. Member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. Member of St. Joseph Women's Auxiliary, and a volunteer for St. Joseph Hospital. Mrs. Annis dedicated her time and talents to many charitable organizations including fundraising for Catholic education. Beloved mother of John S. (Mary) Annis of Joliet, Michael (Kim Megaro) Annis of Colleyville, TX, Timothy (Michelle) Annis of Bourbonnais, IL, R. Scott (Dr. Dayna Schwarz) Annis of La Crosse, WI, Mary Beth (Bill) Macfarlane of Shorewood and Lynn (Tony) Zajda of Plainfield; devoted grandmother of Dr. Christopher (Dr. Christy) Annis, Melissa (Adam) Drews, Thomas, John, Jeffrey, Amber (Christopher) Kopechessi, Stephanie, Kevin, Katherine, Claire, Devin and Darren Annis, Michelle, Sarah and Matthew Macfarlane, Emily, Ann and Ellen Zajda; also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Raymond L. Annis, M.D.; parents, Steven and Mary Leck; three sisters, Betty Alcamo, Sophie Mahalik and Patricia Leck. Funeral Services for Stephanie Annis will be Wednesday, February 10, 2010, 9:15 a.m. from the funeral home to St. John the Baptist Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Interment Woodlawn Memorial Park.
