Marietta H. Fitzgerald (nee Hart) Age 83. Passed away Saturday, December 13, 2008 at Fairview Baptist Home, Downers Grove, IL. Born January 3, 1925 in Joliet. Widow of the late William Fitzgerald, president of Fitzgerald Furniture Company of Joliet and Morris, IL, and director of Joliet National Bank. Daughter of the late William (Geraldine Archambeault) Hart, former advertising manager of the Joliet Herald-News and Publisher of the Aurora Beacon-News. Graduate of St. Francis Academy Class of 1942. Attended Saint Mary's College, Notre Dame, Indiana. Former Society Editor of the Joliet Herald-News. Survived by one daughter, Mary Kathleen (Charles) Harrison of St. Louis, MO; one son, Thomas (Lauren) Fitzgerald, of Oak Brook, IL, attorney with the firm of Winston & Strawn; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one brother, U.S. District Judge William T. (Kay) Hart of Chicago; two sisters-in-law, Mary Lu (late Arthur) Silk and Kathleen (Joseph) Broderick; one brother-in-law William (late Betty) Brown and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Preceded by her husband, William F. Fitzgerald (1993); one son, Timothy Fitzgerald (2002); her parents, William and Geraldine (nee Archambeault) Hart; one sister, Joan (late Harold) Bowler; and one brother-in-law, Jack Fitzgerald.
