Dear Joan: You are the best twin sister I could ever have. You were such an inspiration, and I always admired you and looked up to you. You were so precious, gentle, loving, and caring – like an angel. Now you are our Christmas Angel in heaven. I love you dearly, miss you, and look forward to being with you in heaven. Give Kathy and Mom and Dad a hug for me. Love,Judy

I always enjoyed visiting with Aunt Joan and Uncle Ken, when I lived near them in California and driving and flying out to see them in Pennsylvania. She was always welcoming and had a wonderful sense of humor, even when teasing her about today's birthday boy, Elvis. Our field trips out east were always a highlight. She will be remembered fondly and missed deeply.

As I write this, it happens to be January 7, 2020. I first met my beloved wife on January 7, 1962 during a blind date unknowingly arranged by my brother and his girlfriend. That date took place at a local bowling alley, a popular sport at that time. I'm sure we all heard of the saying, "Love At First Sight", well, when we were introduced, I thought to my self, "This is the girl that I am going to marry". I was 19 years old at the time and had never yet dated, but I immediately knew that this girl was the one I wanted to spend my life with. Following three years of dating, I proposed to her, she accepted, and we were married on August 28, 1965. We celebrated our 54th Wedding Anniversary on August 28, 2019.
Now, as Paul Harvey used to say, "Now The Rest of the Story". It turned out that my brother's girlfriend grew up next door to my wife and her family as well as attended Grade School and High School together. And if that isn't enough coincident, my brother and his girlfriend married in 1963 making his girlfriend and my beloved wife sisters-in-law on the date of our marriage. Unfortunately, my brother passed away in 1994, his wife, our sister-in-law, passed away in 2005, and my beloved wife has now passed away on December 24, 2019. I truly believe that they are now together again, enjoying each other, and waiting for me, her beloved husband, to join them some day in the future.
