Dale, Dawn, Sandy,
My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. I had the wonderful privilege and opportunity to spend some time with Chug when she and Dawn attended the wedding of my daughter, Erin Miller to Brad Curd, in Phoenix, in April, 2013. I hadn't seen her in several years, but the reconnection was instantaneous. Her smile, her sense of humor and her wit had not faded a bit from when we first met, over 40 years ago. Some of my fondest memories are of the holiday visits to Nannie and GooGoo's house in Joliet, the later, Sailor Springs. Chub will forever be in our hearts.
Don Miller, Tulsa, Ok.

I feel blessed to call Elaina a friend . She was always a ray of sunshine for anyone lucky enough to spend time with her each day . Her love of plants and flowers became an instant bond for her and I . I looked forward to talking about both her flower garden and her and Dales impressive vegetable garden each Spring . Planting a Japanese Maple with her and Sandy will forever be one of my warmest memories . Elaina made me feel like part of the family which I will forever be grateful . She has made so many peoples life’s fuller and brighter including mine . My love and condolences to Dale, Sandy , Dawn and Giz .

To Dale, Dawn, Sandy, and all Chug's grandkids:
I plant this tree in honor of Chug. May it grow to the heavens where she looks down on her family. May it be a long-living memory to your wife, mother, and grandmother.

Elaina was the 'glue' for the neighborhood in Florida. With her lovely smile and welcoming nature her home was always a wonderful meeting place. It is not the same without you. You are loved and will be greatly missed.

Dear Dale and Family,
I was so saddened to learn last night that Elaina had walked on. A high school classmate, co-worker, and a dear Friend from so many years ago. Dale, Elaina, my date and I went to an after-prom breakfast in 1968. Elaina rolled her eyes when Dale told the server he did not like the lace on the edges on his fried eggs.
We will be in Inipi this afternoon (Lakota sweat lodge) and will respectfully bring Elaina's memory to Ceremony.
Peace to you all, Rowan P. McQuarrie

Dear Dale, Giz and Families, We were so sorry to hear of Elaina's (Chug) passing. She was my Best Friend in High School.
We made many memories. She is the reason Art and I got together. We had an apartment together in Mokena for a short
time when Dale was in service. Shortly after I got married as did she and we only saw each other once in a while. I will always remember her and spending time at her parents house in Cherry Hill. We doubled at many dances in school and she introduced me to the Masons her father belonged to when she was crowned into Jobs Daughters. I asked many questions about this group but she insisted she could not give any answers.Secret. A testimony to her loyalty. Elaina was successful in anything she took on. She loved Dale, Giz and her daughters very much. The last time we spoke was 4-5 years ago when she stopped for a visit.
After that we exchanged Christmas cards each year. I will always think fondly of our Friend and the years we shared.
All our Love and Sympathy to Dale, Giz and Families.

To Elaina, one of the best friends ever. For many years, I couldn't wait till she came down from up North. We laughed, we cried, we shopped. To one of the best, brightest and most savvy bargain hunters anywhere. I will miss our excursions to any promising garage or estate sale within a 20 mile radius. Not to mention the infamous Bargain Barn. She was one of the smartest, most fun, strong, sharp talented women I knew. She was such a comfort to me when my Jim died. A total rock. I will love her and miss her every day for the rest of my life. Rest in peace my dear friend, your suffering is over. You fought harder than anyone I have ever known. My Prayers and thoughts are with you, Dale, Dawn and Sandy. She was a wonderful wife, mother, sister and grandma. Love, Muffin
