Jack and Sharon, please accept our condolences. Your mom was wonderful: funny, friendly, always warm and delightful. She was a wonderful woman whom I loved to see in any context, at any occasion.

Marion on far right with the delightful group that called themselves friends- loyal, supportive, fun. They couldn’t have a better set of friends. Bev, Benny, Ann, The Murphy twins, Dina, and Marion!

I am the daughter of Leo and Dorothy Gable and we lived at 1011 N. Prairie when I was growing up. John and Marion lived three houses up the street from us. I remember Marion as being beautiful, kind, and very stylish. My little brother, Bill, used to walk up to their house and have breakfast with them. He may have said he didn't have breakfast at home just so he could join Marion and John who were so kind to him. As Bill passed away in Sept. 2018 they may be having breakfast together again somewhere. I am so sorry for your loss. Your mother was a wonderful person.

Fond memories of Marion working on fundraising for the Cathedral and Joliet Catholic. Everyone knew if Marion said she would do something, it was done beyond the expected. I am grateful to have worked with this lovely woman on many occasions. Her children were classmates of my children and extend their condolences along with mine. Most sincerely, Mary Ellen Aschenbrenner, Michael, and Amy

Marion was a dear friend of my mother’s. She had a fabulous sense of humor and distinctive laugh. I am glad she is at peace but she will definitely be missed.
She was proud of her Irish heritage.
