We met Rodney and Dale Ann about 17 years ago. A lot has happened and a lot has changed in that time. One of the very few things that never changed was Rodney Brockman. When you first meet a man like Rodney, you know you’ve met a friend for life. A man who truly is as good as they come. An honest man filled with integrity, ethics, morals and principles. A man who is always there for you and ready to help you in any way he could. A humorous, kind, gentle and smiling man that you always looked forward to seeing and talking to. Anytime we would be heading to a swap meet or a cruise night or a car show or the race track, we would look forward to meeting up with Rodney and Dale Ann and enjoying their company and friendship. You could talk with Rodney about anything and you would know that he always spoke from his heart about friends, cars, life, good times and bad times. If Rodney couldn’t help you make lemonade from the lemons he would find a way to help you just accept the damn lemons for what they were! Rodney’s Swap Meets and club meetings are more of a family reunion than a car event and that’s because when you are with the Brockmans you feel like you are family. Rodney Brockman truly was a legend in his own time. All of us need to thank God for giving us such a role model in our lifetime to look up to. One way to say thanks to God and Rodney is to see that Rodney’s legacy not only continues on but in fact, flourishes. Rodney didn’t create a car club, he created a family of people that love cars. Let’s go the extra mile for the TCA’s activities and for one another while trying our best to follow in his footsteps.
Thank you for all you have done for us, Rodney!
God Speed you, friend!
Love,
Bob & Patty Stumpf

Rodney has been a friend since I was just a young teenage driver. His love and knowledge of old cars , especially the 56 chevys , was very inspiring. Even though I haven’t always had a chevy , that didn’t matter to him. He helped me along the way. He is truly a person that is going to be missed by everyone. Rest in peace my friend ❤️

Rodney was a caring man, who would give you the shirt off his back , a quality he instilled in his son Keith. The Brockman family would always make you feel comfortable , his stories and knowledge were second to none . I was always glad to see him at a cruise nite or swap meet , and he always had a warm handshake even for a Ford guy.
My sincere condolences from the Sachtlebens

I’ve known Rodney since I was 2 years old. I remember going to his house as a kid and Keith would come flying into the driveway doing a wheelie on his three wheeler, sparks flying (at the time Keith was rocking the mullet). As years went by, “uncle” Rodney would give me whatever change he had in his pocket everytime he’d see me and tell me to put it toward my first car. The year I started college, I bought myself a brand new car and we joked that he had funded it. If it weren’t for Rodney, we all wouldn’t have Keith.Without Keith, we wouldn’t have Libby. Without Libby (match maker), I wouldn’t have Bryan Lane or the amazing family that we have together. Rodney was one of the best guys around and for that, we all have Keith who is just like his dad. I am honored to have known one of the most truly genuine men around. Yesterday, after hearing of his passing, we were looking through or safe for Justin and Emily’s social security cards so they can get their license and permit tomorrow. We’ve been In that safe a million times but yesterday, yesterday, we found an envelope that Rodney had written to Justin when he was born with a dollar bill and a Tri-Chevy decal for his first car. I know that envelope showed up yesterday because Rodney made sure we would find it again after 15 years to let us know he’s watching all of us! Love you Brockman Family and truly will miss you Rodney.
