The memories shared by the family captured Kelly’s caring, loving and fun spirit that makes her so special. As a neighbor, I can verify the childhood stories shared by Gayle. Kelly’s birth was exciting event for the entire neighborhood. Perhaps her quick delivery reflected her excitement to be part of a wonderful and close families. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.

To Mike and family,
Thank you so much for a lovely service today to honor this amazing woman. I didn't talk to Kelly a lot, but when she would come in to the office at Cronin, she always brought a smile to my face. So thankful that God allowed our paths to cross at Cronin. Sending you hugs and prayers as you walk through these difficult days. May the many wonderful memories you have of her bring your heart much comfort.

We are sorry for your loss. Our son, Denver, was in Mrs. Holmes class this year and he liked her very much. He always strived to get to the "Yoda level" in class and would come home so proud on days he did. She made a positive impact in his life.

I had the honor of teaching with Kelly at Cronin Elementary School. One fond memory I have of Kelly was asking her for help with my evaluation. She had great insight and I incorporated many of the things she said, into my classroom. Of all of the the things that were shared about Kelly today, what stands out the most, to me, was the love she had for her family and her relationship with Jesus Christ. As a Christ-follower myself, I look forward to the day when I will see her again. This is not goodbye...this is see you later. 1 Corinthians 2:9 tells us that we can not even imagine the things that God has prepared for those who love Him. Wow, what an awesome assurance. To her family, my thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time. You are a close and loving family and I trust you will find comfort in being together and sharing memories and stories that you have.

Such a beautiful celebration of Kelly’s life and spirit! Thank you for allowing us to share in your memorial service today. During the years I served as the K-4 Curriculum Coordinator for Troy, I was fortunate to work alongside Kelly on committees and during our Summer Institute sessions. She was a true teacher leader with a “can do” spirit and a love for teaching and learning. She’ll continue to shine on in all of us who knew her and shared experiences with her. Today I feel I know her more completely because of your heartfelt stories.
God bless your beautiful family as you continue to nurture each other❤️

Kelly touched so many hearts at Troy Cronin. Especially mine. Kelly and I often talked about our families. Both of my boys joined the military. We often spoke of what they were doing and where they were. She had such love for all her family. She was very proud of all her children. She will be greatly missed. I'm blessed to call Kelly a friend. Rest In Peace. Thank you for having her service on line.

When I first came to Troy as a sub ta Kelly helped me to know where everything was and what I should be doing. My favorite part of the day was after lunch in her 2nd grade classroom. She read chapter books to her class. One of their favorites were the Magic Tree House stories. Kelly was so superb the students sat quietly; mesmerized by her voice, inflection, comments, & questions. She will be missed by staff & students! Much love to her family.

I remember when she always makes us laugh and joke with math. It would just make me smile. She was sweet and kind, she was unique. Cronin will not be the same without her, she was one of a kind. I’m so sorry for her family. She was so caring and loved Star Wars. I loved having her this year in 3rd grade. I am so sad I wont get to see you again.
I miss you Mrs. Holmes and you were the best teacher and you are loved by all of us.

To Mike, Gayle, Dave and the entire Homes family, I send my love and deepest of condolences at the shocking news of the loss of our beloved Kelly. Our friendship began in Kindergarten. I found in her a friend whose personality was so big and full of life - I never knew what adventures we would get into when we would spend the night at each other's homes! I have countless memories that we would recall even as of recently- one that Gayle and Dave may remember is lip synching and acting out songs to Disney films! As adults we talked often about getting together but seldom followed through. Finally for our 60th birthdays this year, we made reservations on Lake Michigan to celebrate...July 16th will be a hard day without my beloved friend. We found that no matter how much time passed between talks or visits, it was like we just saw each other. I loved her so much! I feel honored and privileged that she called me her "forever friend "....My heart breaks for you all! She loved her family so much! She was a dynamo and will be so missed! I can picture her dancing and singing in heaven. My heart soars for her knowing her love of the Lord. May God provide peace and comfort to each and every one of you at this extremely difficult time.

I signed into Facebook earlier tonight and was surprised to see the first post on my newsfeed had a picture of Kelly. I smiled from ear to ear seeing the picture of my old friend, but was confused as to why she was the subject of a post of a good friend of mine that I went to high school with. I read the article and I was heartbroken.
I had worked with Kelly when I worked at UPS. She was one of my all time favorite people. She was so kind, thoughtful, spiritual and upbeat. I embroidered a crib quilt for either Elijah or Sarah, I don’t remember which one. Unfortunately, we had lost touch shortly after UPS and I parted ways.
It doesn’t surprise me at all to learn that Kelly went on to graduate and get a job as a teacher. Nor does it surprise me that she was such a good teacher and so well liked. I’m so happy she went on to do that.
It doesn’t seem fair that God took her much too early, but he must have needed a special angel up in heaven. Rest In Peace Kelly.
My heart is with your family. They are included in my prayers.

My condolences to the Holmes family at this time, my thoughts and prayers are with at this most difficult time, it is still a shock and hard to believe that she is no longer with us. I had the pleasure of knowing her when I worked at Cronin and we became friends, I used to go into her classroom and chat when we could, we would talk about many things, but she first and foremost always talked about her family, she loved being a mom and wife. She was a big Star Wars fan and on May 4th, she would text me "May the 4th be with you". She was an amazing teacher and amazing person and she will greatly be missed !
