Obituary of Sylvia L. Miller

Sylvia L. Miller, (nee Mackins), age 66, of Joliet, passed away on Friday, May 22, 2020, at her home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born September 20, 1953, in Middlesboro, KY, the daughter of the late James and Bertha (Wilson) Mackins. Sylvia dedicated her life to her family and especially enjoyed time spent with her grandchildren. In her younger years, she enjoyed traveling and more recently she was fond of watching movies at home.

Sylvia is survived by her beloved husband of over 50 years, Raymond Miller; her loving son, Rodney Miller; grandchildren, Kayla and Matthew Miller; brother, Suell Mackins; sisters, Kimberly, Liz, Kathy, and Doodle; many nieces, nephews, and friends also survive.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Ricky Mackins; and three sisters, Brenda, Molly, and Joyce.

Cremation rites have been accorded and services for Sylvia Miller will be private.
