Obituary of Robert B. Kus
Robert Brian Kus, age 47, passed away on May 24, 2020, unexpectedly.
A lifelong resident of Chicago, and proud member of the Carpenters Union Local 54 Brotherhood, Rob was a beloved son and member of his community. As a youngster Rob loved baseball and played on a Gage Park District team. He also loved basketball and played on his grade school team. Rob graduated from St. Rita of Cascia High School in 1991, where he was a member of the first class to graduate from the former Quigley South Preparatory Seminary location. Rob loved to work out, watch sports and spend time with his pets. Friends knew him as quick-witted, hardworking, loyal and generous.
He is survived by his parents, Richard and Barbara Kus of Plainfield, IL; his fiancée, Dona Anastasof; and siblings, Laura (Joseph), Richard (Gina), Karen, Audrey (Anthony); and by his uncle and aunt, Bob and Mary, cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Donna Valskis, and nephew, Luke Barrera.
Visitation for Rob will be private due to State of Illinois COVID-19 restrictions. Cremation rites have been accorded.
