Obituary of Helen F. Gray

Age 54, of Joliet, passed away on Friday, July 3, 2020, at home following a lengthy illness.  Helen was born in Chicago, the daughter of the late Bernard and Sophia (nee Bell) Wallseck, she resided in Joliet for most of her life.  She was a graduate of Joliet West High School, Class of 1982.  Helen spent her professional career in the medical field.  She was formerly employed by Heartland Blood Center of Aurora, Medworks, and Plainfield Ambulance.  She was a member of the Pheo Para Alliance.  Helen loved spending time with her family and friends as well as tending to her flowers.  She enjoyed butterflies, fishing, and an occasional sip of wine.

Helen is survived by her daughter, Erica Gray; grandson, Keith Gray; sister, Carole Buckner; brothers, Chuck Slaybough and Dave Uhrich; many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded by her parents and two brothers, Bill, and Larry Lukens.
