I'm sorry to learn of Bob's passing. Our Class of 1960 has lost one of its best and brightest. Bob displayed the perfect combination of intelligence, common sense, and insight that served him well throughout his life. It was Bob who was the lead server ("Master of Ceremonies") at Bishop McNamara's Pontifical Masses at St. Raymond. He was near the top of the class in all his subjects. Yet he always maintained a calm, unpretentious demeanor as a member of our reunion committee. He kept the faith and lived it. In a word, his life was exemplary. I was privileged to know Bob through our youth and later at our reunion meetings. A quick prayer for him (since we both grew up with the Latin Mass): "In Paradisum, deducant te angeli; in tuo adventu suscipiant te martyres, et perducant te in civitatem sanctam Jersusalem." "Requiescat in pace."

Dear Jackie and Kevin,
I am so sorry to read of the passing of your husband and dad. I would see Bob at OLA when I use to visit our Sisters. I usually caught them hanging out in the recreation room. I would share memories with him of St. Rays. I know our two Sisters enjoyed his company.
May the words of St. Paul to the Colossians be of some consolation to you, "Though I am absent in the flesh I am with you in Spirit." May all the loving memories you have of the great times you shared together bring a smile to your hearts.
Know you are in my prayers. Again my deepest sympathy.

Jackie,
I went to HS with you and remember you well. I joined the Army Nurse Corps after nursing school and met Bob at Ft. Sam in San Antonio, TX in July, 1971, He was an MSC officer, and after learning he was from Joliet, he became one of my best friends during my 6 weeks at Ft. Sam. I lost track of him after that but have thought of him often. He was one of the kindest and funniest folks I have ever met. I will always remember him.
I am so very sorry for your loss, Jackie. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this time of loss and grief.

Bob was the laboratory supervisor during my career at ExxonMobil where I was a lab technician for 28 years. It says something about a person that they were able to maintain a working relationship for that many years -- and not hate one another! I'm glad Bob could enjoy many years of retirement as well. He loved his wife and son so very much! Working together for so many years was like being a family with its ups and downs. I was fortunate to work under Bob's supervision. May his family find comfort and consolation in knowing that others share their grief. Linda Underwood (1975 - 2003 at Exxon with Bob)

Jackie and Kevin,
I’m so sorry about the loss of Bob. He was one of the kindest and smartest men I’ve ever known. He was great to Jimmy and the boys letting them spend many hours and days at the house. Rest In Peace!
