Obituary of Shawn T. Kavanaugh
Shawn T. Kavanaugh, age 31 of Morris, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, August 28, 2020.
Born April 24, 1989, in Joliet, he was a graduate of Peotone High School and worked as a pipefitter for Local #597.
Shawn was a loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and nephew. He will be remembered for being a hard worker, fun loving, and strong willed.
He is survived by his wife, Kristina (Mathis) Kavanaugh; three children, Maximus, Thomas and Sophia; his parents, Joann (Gregg) McComb and Mark Kavanaugh; a sister, Hannah Kavanaugh; two brothers, Anthony (Nicole) Kavanaugh and Jake Kavanaugh; one nephew, Sawyer Kavanaugh; one niece, Rylan Kavanaugh; his grandmother, Patricia Kavanaugh; an uncle, Kevin (Jody) Kavanaugh; and two aunts, Valerie Bunch and Kelly Kavanaugh-Eddleman.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Tom Kavanaugh, and Joseph and Lorraine Bunch.
Visitation for Shawn Kavanaugh will be held Thursday, September 3, 2020, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of funeral services at 12:00 p.m., Noon, at Families of Faith Church, 24466 W. Eames St, Channahon, IL 60410. Cremation rites will be accorded following services and interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name for the benefit of his children would be appreciated.
