I left Illinois in 1957, when Herman was 16, and I'll always think of him as Leroy, which we called him for some now unknown reason. Although we've been apart since then other than my brief trips to Illinois for Frederickson reunions or other family get-togethers, Herman always greeted me with happiness and a hug like it had just been yesterday. I took the above photos at Indiana 8/2005, Wisconsin (family good time)8/2008, and his Aunt Ruth's (my Mom) memorial in 3/2014. May he rest in Peace.
It didn’t seem real that you were gone until I saw your obituary. Then it hit me like a ton of bricks. I love you and I hope you are finally at peace. Until we meet again❤️
