Obituary of Lawrence Geigner SR

Geigner, Lawrence R. Sr. "Larry" Age 57. Peacefully Saturday, December 17, 2011 at his home with his family by his side following a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Evergreen Park, a long time Chicago area resident before moving to Plainfield 15 years ago. He was an avid Blackhawks fan. Preceded by his parents and grandparents. Survived by his loving wife of 15 years, Joan T. (nee Roche) Geigner of Plainfield. Two sons, Larry R. Geigner, Jr. and Steven Geigner both of Plainfield. Five brothers, Robert (Karen), William, Gary (April), Thomas (Laura), James Geigner, one sister, Diane (Kevin) Cleary. Numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins also. Funeral services for Lawrence R. Geigner, Sr. will be Tuesday, December 20, 2011 at 9:15 a.m. from the funeral home chapel to Holy Family Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian burial to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. As it was Larry's final request cremation rites will be accorded following the funeral Mass. Private Inurnment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Alzheimer's, Epilepsy or Pancreatic Cancer Foundations in his memory would be appreciated.
