Charles T. Gentry
Age 64. Saturday, May 24, 2008 at the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home. Born March 8, 1944 in Tuscumbia, AL, he was a longtime Joliet area resident. A United States Army Veteran serving in Vietnam from 1965-67; served in the Army National Guard 233 Engineering Company of Joliet and the Army Reserves 652 of Joliet. Formerly employed at Motts in La Grange; he worked at Electro-Motive Division from 1969 to 1988.
Preceded in death by his wife of 29 years, Judith M. (nee Przenieslo) (1997); daughter, Gail Rudd (2007); his parents, Raymond and Clementine Gentry; two brothers, Bill and James; four sisters, Nellie, Mary Lou, Sue and Cybill.
Survived by his special niece Aletha Prewitt; and numerous other nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service for Charles T. Gentry will be held on Thursday, May 29, 2008 at 12:30 p.m. at the funeral home chapel. Inurnment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Joliet Area Community Hospice in his name would be appreciated. Visitation 12:00 p.m. until time of services at:
