Michael F. Brooks

Michael F. Brooks, age 71, passed away on Tuesday, November 17, 2020, at his home in Shorewood.  Michael was born on September 13, 1949, the son of the late Francis and Amelia (nee D’Atri) Brooks. Born and educated in Joliet, he was a graduate of Joliet Catholic High School.  He received his Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Iowa.  Michael worked for over 35 years at Crown Industrial as an Accountant.

Michael was a dedicated family man who enjoyed traveling spending time with his family. He was an excellent marksman, loved horseback riding, and was a skilled craftsman.  He was gifted when it came to building cabinets and furniture.  

Michael is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Debra (nee Summers); his son, Jonathan (Gina) Brooks; daughter, Kathleen Johnson; two grandchildren, Drew Summers Johnson and Cooper Michael Johnson; and one sister, Suzy (Mario) Bottoni.
