Obituary of David A. Johnson
David A. Johnson, age 58, of Joliet, passed away Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at Edward Hospital.
Born April 15, 1962 in Kennett, MO, he was the son of the late David P. and Mary J. (Ellis) Johnson.
David worked as a Deputy Sheriff for the Will County sheriff’s Department for 28 years, retiring in 2016.
He was a loving and devoted husband who will be dearly missed by his family and friends. He loved getting out, driving places, visiting family, and enjoying being on the go.
Surviving are his beloved wife, Doris (Miranda) Johnson of Joliet; and one brother, Clifton (Karla) Williamson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Roger Williamson.
Visitation for David Johnson will be held Wednesday, December 2, 2020 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Road, (at Essington Road), Joliet. Due to Covid-19, attendance will be limited to 10 persons at a time, face masks will be required, and social distancing will be practiced.
Further services will be held Friday, December 4, 2020 at 12:00 p.m., at the Hoggard Funeral Home in Piggott, Arkansas, where visitation will be held from 10:00 until the time of services at noon. Burial to follow in the New Hope Cemetery in Pollard, Arkansas.
