Obituary of John M. Stob
Age 63, of Plainfield, IL and formerly Hillside, IL passed Friday evening, November 27, 2020 at home. He was born April 13, 1957 to the late Grace (nee Buikema) and John Stob in Oak Park, IL and was raised in the Cicero/Berwyn area. He attended Timothy Christian High School.
He is the beloved husband of Andrea (nee Nudelman) Stob; caring stepfather of Jennifer, Brian, Greg and Scott Stark; dearest grandpa of Tyler, Michael, Brenden and Arianna. He is also survived by his sister, Darlene (Richard) Hoving, brother-in-law, Pete Cissik and several nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his parents and sister, Debbie Cissik.
John was a retired heavy equipment operator after more than 30 years of dedicated service. He was a member of Local #731.
A Memorial Gathering for John will be held at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home 3200 Black Rd. (at Essington Rd.) Joliet on Saturday, December 5, 2020 from 1:30 pm until 3 p.m. Facemasks and social distancing are required and capacity restrictions will be followed.
