Obituary of Minette Golomb

Minette Golomb 
(nee Prince)

Minette Golomb, age 93, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 7, 2020, at the Alden Courts of Shorewood.   Minette was born on March 2, 1927, the daughter of the late Joseph and Lena (nee Hyman) Prince.  She was born and educated in New Rochelle, NY, and was a graduate of New Rochelle High School. Before his passing, Minette worked side by side with Stanley, running the “Golomb Group”, an advertising business for dry cleaners, located in Hinsdale, IL.  She enjoyed reading and spending time with her friends.  Minette was a devoted wife, a loving mother, a cherished grandmother who will be missed by all who knew her.

Minette is survived by her son Mitchell (Karen) Golomb; daughter-in-law, Helena Varkalils; grandchildren, Bradley (Nicole), Joel, Christopher, Rebecca Golomb, Christina (David) Wilson, and James (Suzanne) Varkalis; and great-grandma of Owen.  

She is preceded by her loving husband, Stanley Golomb; her son, Jack R. “Rocky” Golomb; her parents; and her three brothers, Marvin, Milton, and Walter Prince.  

A Memorial Gathering for Minette Golomb will be held at a later date with interment taking place at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.  As it was her request, cremation rites have been accorded.
