Mr Boylan helped me a lot thru my time at Chelsea elementry as I had a hard time dealing with people , sorry to hear we lost a good listener , he and I had one common point which was trains , he had his lionels and I had my H.O.stuff he did help me increase my passion for modeling them , its weird I used to deliver to railway services in the late 90's well I guess he decided to skip the g scale and go for the real ones ...

So sorry to hear about Mr. Boylan's passing. He was my 7th grade math teacher in 1967. I always thought he was kind and respected his students. Prayers to his family.

My condolences to the Boylan Family.
I grew up in Marquette Gardens, attended St Paul & JCHS with Joe, his parents and my parents were good friends. We shared a lot of good times together especially the earliest days of St Paul the Apostle school and Church.
Peace be with you and yours!

One of my favorite memories of our dear friend Joe, was at one of our campfires. Joe brought his guitar and played a few songs for us , then he played and sang “Scarlet Ribbons”, adding Beth’s name in the lyrics. The song was so heartfelt that I began to cry. Joe said, “I didn’t think I was that bad that you need to cry”. I said no, you were that good! We joked about that night for years to come and I earned the honor of the only one that ever cried when he played the guitar and sang! Great times, with a great man that will be forever missed, but will live in our hearts! Love you Joe!
