Obituary of William E. Horne

William Horne, age 59, of Joliet, passed away Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at Amita Health St. Joseph Medical Center Joliet, with his family by his side.

Born May 27, 1961 in Iuka, MS, he was the son of the late William and Elizabeth (Lewis) Horne.

William worked in maintenance for the Joliet Housing Authority.

A wonderful and devoted husband, father and grandfather, who will be remembered for his pleasant personality.  He was truly liked by all.

Surviving are his beloved wife, Sylvia (nee Jones) Horne; his son, Clifton McGee; four grandchildren, Breanna McGee, Brenden McGee, Caliyah Terrell and Braeden McGee; two sisters, Gwen Black and Janice Machado; one brother, Howard Malagon; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation for William Horne will be held Wednesday, December 30, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. to Noon at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Road, (at Essington Road), Joliet.  Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park, Joliet.
