Obituary of Diego Alberto Vallejo
Diego Alberto Vallejo, age 21, of Joliet, passed away peacefully, Monday, December 28, 2020 at Silver Cross Hospital, with his loving family by his side.
Diego was born July 2, 1999 in Oak Lawn and was a student at United Cerebral Palsy of Joliet.
Diego was a playful, mischievous and very clever young man who loved music, kisses, head rubs, and his bus ride to and from school. He also loved and was loved by his teachers, especially Gabby and Rosemary. Diego was the heart of his family and will be missed so much.
Diego is survived by his devoted parents, Jorge and Ana (Tinoco) Vallejo of Joliet; his brother, Sebastian, and sister, Tatiana; his grandparents, Jorge and Maria Vallejo and Francisco and Ana Tinoco; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his beloved brother, Jared, who passed away in 2018.
Visitation for Diego will be held Sunday, December 3, 2020 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Road, (at Essington Road), Joliet. Attendance will be limited to ten persons at a time, face masks will be required and social distancing will be practiced.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, January 4, 2021 at 10:30 a.m., at St. Mary Immaculate Catholic Church, 15629 S. Route 59, Plainfield, IL 60544. Burial will follow in St. Mary Immaculate Cemetery.
