Obituary of Pamela Jean Baumgartner
Nobody else held me so tight
Or made me feel so right
No one's eyes shined so bright with love
As my mom, who is now high above
Taken too soon, Pamela Jean Baumgartner (nee Kubinski) born to Edward and Mary Kubinski (nee Brozman) on August 29, 1944 gained her angel’s wings on January 2, 2021 at the age of 76. Also known as Pammie and Penny she was loved by all who knew her.
Pam was preceded in death by her parents; twin sister, Mary in infancy (1944); sister, Karen Litchfield (2005); and brother, Robert Kubinski (2011).
Surviving are her beloved daughters, Kristina Loudenback (Brian) and Jill Smith (David); grandchildren, Katie, Kylee, Aidan, Abbey, Ryan and Dylan; brothers, Edward Kubinski (Judy) and Thomas Kubinski (Patricia); sisters, Judith Stafford (William) and Jeanne Condon (Larry); and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends including her special friend and roommate, Mary, who took such special care of mom.
Thank you to the staff of Lakeshore Rehab and Healthcare where Pam was a resident for the last 3 years. She loved playing bingo, especially when she won, watching her Chicago Cubbies, working her crossword puzzles, and being involved in many activities there. She also loved all of the special time with her sister Judy doing bible study and reciting the rosary.
In earlier years, Pam volunteered for Meals on Wheels in Lockport. She loved her family and enjoyed spending every minute she could with them. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy. No matter the circumstances she would always have a smile on her face. The most selfless person we knew, she always put others' needs before her own.
Please join us to say our goodbyes from 2:00-4:00 pm, followed by a funeral service, on Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at Fred C. Dames Funeral Home 3200 Black at Essington Roads Joliet, IL 60431.
