Obituary of Gloria A. Reubart
Gloria A. Reubart, (nee Ulisse), age 86, of Joliet, passed away peacefully, Saturday, January 9, 2021 at home, with her loved ones by her side, under the care of hospice.
Born June 4, 1934 in Joliet, she was the daughter of the late Luigi and Louise (La Manna) Ulisse. She married the love of her life, William E. “Bill” Reubart, and they enjoyed 50 years of marriage until his passing May 23, 2005. Her son, Joseph (2011), and her brother, Theodore Ulisse also preceded her in death.
Gloria was a graduate of Joliet Township High School and after raising her family worked many years as a claims processor for Hartford Insurance. She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church.
A loving and devoted wife and mother, she had a tremendous sense of adventure and a distinctive laugh we will always remember. She defined what it is to be a “sports mom” by attending every swimming, diving and gymnastics event, in addition to all her children’s school activities.
She is survived by her devoted daughter, Judith (Daniel Collins) Reubart of Joliet; four grandchildren; three great-grandsons; her sister, Theresa (the late Robert) Halweg; a daughter-in-law, Michelle Reubart; and many friends including Annette Gallo and Kara McGee.
