So sorry to hear of his passing. His father and my Grandmother came from the same area in Italy. I remember in the 60's , when I was a kid, going to Lockport with my Dad to pay the insurance bill. His father would take me next door to the grocery store and I could take as much candy as I could hold. Of course only Italian was spoken during the visit.
I always thought of Gene when I was going down Essington and the memories from Him and his father.

I was sorry to hear about the passing of Gene. Such a shock. Gene was a very caring and thoughtful person and will be missed by all, including his many friends. I got to know Gene from walking at the mall and later have coffee at Panera. Our group sat at one table and Gene and his dear friends sat at the table next to us. We were like a family caring for each other. My condolences to his family.
