Obituary of Louise Brooks

Age 91, of Channahon, passed away Wednesday, February 24, 2021, at HarborChase of Plainfield.  She was born on January 10, 1930, in Graves City, KY.  She was a resident of Joliet since 1953 and a member of First Baptist Church of Channahon since 1958.  She was a loving wife, mother, and homemaker.

Louise was the beloved wife of 52 years to Howard R. Brooks; beloved mother of Michael (Karen) Brooks and Amy (Jeff) Green; devoted grandmother to Tim and Jordan Brooks.

She was preceded in death by her husband Howard; two daughters, Betty Susan Brooks and Dinah Sweeney; her parents, Orie Seay and Florence (nee Driver) Hunt; one brother and two sisters.

Visitation for Louise Brooks will be held at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Rd. (at Essington Rd.) Joliet, IL on Friday, February 26, 2021 from 4-6 p.m. Interment will take place at Olive Branch Cemetery in Cottage Grove, TN. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association (https://billygraham.org) would be appreciated.
