The first time I met Larry was on the sidelines of a football field. He came over to introduce himself. Here he was with one camera on a monopod, one strapped on his neck and a third over his shoulder. As a fellow photographer I had camera envy and I told him so. He just smiled and said he liked to be prepared. What impressed me the most were his sports photos in print. Terrific photographer with an eye for catching the action on film (digital not yet available). After that first occurrence Larry reinforced our friendship every time we met again. I will miss bumping into Larry on the sidelines, may he rest in peace.

Our family was so saddened to hear of Larry's passing. He was a devoted & cherished member of the JPD Evidence unit. Working with him was always a pleasure and he will be greatly missed. We also enjoyed many other events with him over the years. Our family would like you to know he won't be forgotten. We often spoke of him fondly & always will. Our thoughts are with you.

Larry shot photos for many events for me over the years.
He never let me down. He was unflappable, if he was available, any time you would call he would just say "okaaaaay" and when he said that, you could take it as a certainty, he would be there and get your needed photos.
A great guy, I am really sorry to hear about his passing, no doubt he is in heaven shooting a roll of film, not digital.
Rest in Peace Larry!

Larry took pictures at Crest Hill Pony baseball field for many years. With no high school sports this past fall Larry sent a text & ask if we were playing baseball & I told we were. He came & took pictures at several of our games & sent them to the parents. He even came to our team party this past October & took pictures of our parent/son softball game. I also officiate high school basketball & saw Larry at many basketball games over the years. What a great man & will be dearly missed. There is a brand new star in heaven shinning down on us tonight. Sorry for your loss.
