When I think of Bob I remember racing cars in high school. We would race Bob's dad's '57 Ford and were lucky enough to never get caught. When we raced my '49 Ford, I didn't have a tachometer so Bob would put his ear on the dash and tell me when to shift! What fun we had. When I started my business I ran out of money to purchase insurance. Bob was not going to let me go without it and somehow got me covered. How many people in the world would do that! He was there for his friends and family in every aspect of their lives. There was not an insurance issue Bob could not solve. He would take time to find out how to get everything covered from insuring my homes, autos, business and cattle ranch. I'm sure Bob was up some nights making sure all my assets were covered. He was the BEST of the BEST. When Bob would call I knew an hour would fly by with wonderful stories about what was going on in his life. I remember when he got a chance to drive a NASCAR at Chicagoland Speedway. I was sorry I wasn't there racing with him. Bob Dow was the BEST FRIEND anyone could ask for. I know I was blessed knowing him as my friend for 67 wonderful years. I miss you Bob.

It is very sad news to learn of Bob's passing. His service for the past many years to our condominium board and owners has been greatly appreciated. It was always a pleasure to talk with him and truly feel his care for the matter at hand. And then, there was always time for a conversation about some other matter. His service was unique and will be missed. My condolences to his family and many friends.
Sincerely,
Sue Martin

It is with great sadness that I offer my condolences to the Dow Family.
I will miss my talks with Bob. He has a heart of Gold. Through our conversations and his stories i felt the strength of his love for Diane, Chris, Bob, Thomas, and Kimberly. We last spoke on Tuesday afternoon about his fishing plans and his goal to be married to Diane for seventy years. i knew Bob as more than our insurance man. He was part of the PSE Family. I heard about his racing days with Pete, his Marine Corp days and most of all is great love for his family. Bob would tease me about being in the office late in the evening when he too was guilty of working just as hard for a client. He was proud of all his kids and he talked joyfully of their accomplishments. Bob always had a kind word for us down in Tucson.
Thanks for your support and friendship over the years Bob!

Diane: My condolences to you and your children. I cannot tell you what an influence Bob had on me during my early career with Travelers, and my regular calls on Bob, you and Eileen are some of the best memories I have of my entire career. To say it was like visiting family is an understatement.
Easily and without a doubt, I can say that Bob was the most decent man I ever knew. In many ways, he became a father figure to me. Never did I seen another agent fight for his clients harder than this man.
On a lighter note, he was the all-time champion talker, as I was the recipient of many, many of his words! My colleagues and I revered him, and we often tried to respectfully imitate his deep baritone voice, which I can hear right now in my ears...."Bill....Bob Dow".
Its a deep loss. He will always be remembered. God bless you.

Dearest Diane and family, my deepest and sincerest sympathies to your entire family.. Bob was truly an amazing man. I always loved when he stopped in the restaurant on Monday nights, for a to go order. He always had a great story about one of his children, and or Grandchildren. You could feel the pride and see the gleam in his eye. Joliet has truly lost an amazing man, husband, Father , Grandfather, Brother and friend to so very many. Will be truly missed.
