Obituary of Eva M. Mayberry

Eva M. Mayberry, age 90, of Joliet, passed away peacefully, Monday, March 29, 2021 at home, with her loving family by her side.

Born October 28, 1930 in London, KY, she was the daughter of the late John and Fannie (Stewart) Simpson.  She married her beloved husband, William R. Mayberry, and they enjoyed 62 years of marriage prior to his passing in 2017.

Eva was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who was always there for her family.  She was a strong woman and will be remembered for her courage with all she faced the last several years.  She also had a strong faith and was a devoted member of Ridgewood Baptist Church.

Surviving are her five children, Keith (Sue) Wilson of Minooka, Steve Wilson of Missouri, Jeannie Dankowski of Joliet, Kathy (Steve) Hall of Arizona, and Pamela (Stan) Carrillo of Manteno, IL; 12 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.  Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

Visitation for Eva Mayberry will be held Friday, April 2, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of funeral services at 11:00 a.m., at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Road, (at Essington Road), Joliet.  Face masks and social distancing will be required.  Interment will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
