Obituary of Kay Ringman

Kay M. Ringman, age 78, of Joliet, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, March 31, 2021 at home, with her loving family by her side.

Born August 13, 1942 in Chicago, she was the daughter of Paul and Bernice (Wolfe) McGovern, and was a graduate of South Shore High School.  Her parents, and one brother, James, preceded her in death.

Kay was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother who enjoyed the blessing of making her home with her daughter and granddaughters.  She was an artist and painter and her creativity was matched by her eye for the unusual which served her well as a collector of eclectic items.  Kay loved visiting Door County, Wisconsin, and the many friends she had there, who knew her as “Cana Kay,” were like family to her.  She will be remembered for her vibrant and flamboyant personality.  Kay was truly one of a kind, and if you met her, you remembered her.

Surviving are her beloved daughter, Christi (the late Jeffrey) Landaiche of Joliet; and two adoring granddaughters, Emily and Melissa Landaiche.
